Symbolic Objects
The Institute is associated with the following symbols: cogwheel, sword, hail, hexagram, and eight-pointed cross. The cogwheel — incorporated into the current logo — embodies the original founding philosophy: "To be a good cog in the world." The hexagram represents the Institute's commitment to mystical science research.
Symbolic Flowers
Campanula, holly, nemophila, lily of the valley, and dayflower. The first two have been Institute symbols since the founding; the remaining three were added after re-establishment.
Symbolic Stones
Topaz, blue lace agate, chrysoprase, kyanite, and chrysoberyl. These stones are associated with the cardinal directions in Erflett's colour-direction system (法鳴, houméi).
Institutional Colours
Celestial Blue and Azalea Pink — used in the Institute logo and heraldic crest.
Research Fields
Astrophysics
Research in cosmology and stellar formation, observation of high-energy astrophysical phenomena via electromagnetic waves, study of phenomena on quark stars, and observation of solar system comets. Regular celestial observations are conducted on new moon nights.
Microphysics
Theoretical research in particle physics and quantum mechanics, including studies of electrons, photons, and neutrinos; and pursuit of undiscovered particles such as the graviton.
Space-Resource Utilisation
Research into resource-retrieval technologies from the Moon and asteroids, utilisation of extraterrestrial resources, and exploitation of cosmic rays and solar radiation as energy sources.
Mystical Science & Technology Development
Research on the Institute's proposed plasma hypothesis of spiritual entities, investigation of the Lagosest (the hypothetical fundamental life-force field), study of unknown force fields constituting spiritual bodies, and research into human extrasensory perception and synesthesia.
Erflett Spacetime Research
Comprehensive study of Erflett — a fictional spacetime world revealed on 16 August 2015 — including its physical laws, spacetime structure, flora and fauna, civilisations, languages, and religions. The AISU-ETCS system provides the computational backbone for this research.
Creative Research
AISU's creative output encompasses constructed languages (most notably Fulika), Erflett-native fauna, ethnic groups, nations and cities, historical chronicles, and religious systems of the world. Selected examples:
- Conlang: Fulika, Feln dialect families
- Fauna: Teulin, Fionesé flora
- Religion: Suorifia Church (Teulin), Gradhslis Orthodox Church (Human)
- History: Erflett Chronicle, Legends of the Naruye people
