AISU

Director's Message

"The universe does not merely exist; it speaks. Our task is to learn its language."

Welcome to the Al'bina Institute for Space and Universal Studies.

This Institute was born from a refusal to be silenced. When Albina Lukiiniushna Eisenshtéina was removed from the Soviet space programme in 1962, she did not abandon inquiry — she founded her own. That same spirit animates everything we do today.

AISU is, at its heart, an institution of irreducible curiosity. We study the cosmos in its full breadth: from the quantum structure of matter to the geometry of fictional spacetimes; from the electromagnetic signatures of distant pulsars to the phenomenology of human consciousness. We do not privilege one mode of knowing over another. Where rigorous mathematics and observational data can be brought to bear, we apply them. Where mystery persists, we honour the mystery — and continue to work.

Our current flagship research — the Erflett spacetime project — exemplifies this approach. What began as speculative creative research has, through years of systematic effort, grown into a mathematically complete field theory, numerically validated and publicly available. The Erflett world is fictional; the mathematics we have built to describe it is not. It is real — and it opens genuine questions about the nature of geometry, time, and physical law.

I am grateful to every member of the Institute, to our collaborators across four countries, and to all who have followed our work with interest. This international site marks a new chapter: our commitment to sharing our findings without barrier, across language and geography.

Ad astra per aspera.
