501st Sirius Binary Ensemble Launched! — National Anthem of the Kingdom of Makhavoe Released

The music project of this institute, the "501st Sirius Binary Ensemble" (Dai-501 Seirensei Ongakutai), whose discussions began in 2024, has officially launched. On 16 August 2026, the first release — the "Court Music Arrangement" of the national anthem of the Kingdom of Makhavoe — was published, followed on 29 August 2026 by the second release — the "Folk Music Arrangement".

The entire project was directed by Director Saika Shiodome. Under her personal name "Saika Shiodome", she handled all aspects of the production: songwriting, composition, arrangement, mixing and mastering.

About the National Anthem of Makhavoe

The Kingdom of Makhavoe is a superpower in the fictional world of "Erflett", which this institute studies and creates. The work released this time is the national anthem of the Kingdom of Makhavoe, entitled "Our Holy Sword Kerveul" (Rozêna Kerveul). The lyrics are written entirely in the Fulika language and are notable for their portrayal of the kingdom's history and pride.

This national anthem of Makhavoe has now been released as a live vocal performance by the 501st Sirius Binary Ensemble.

First Release: Court Music Arrangement

The first release presents the "Court Music Arrangement", which is treated as the "original version" of the Makhavoe national anthem. The court music arrangement features a classical and court music style from "Eutromenea", the central region of Erflett's central continent, characterised by solo passages for instruments corresponding to flute and oboe.

The most noteworthy aspect of this first release is that it is performed in a "national anthem chorus" format. It is sung by a mixed choir of the 501st Sirius Binary Ensemble, resulting in a powerful and realistic national anthem. Some have commented that this may be the first time a song written in a constructed language of a fictional world has been performed as a choral piece with real voices in the original language.

Second Release: Folk Music Arrangement

The second release is an arrangement in the style of "Tolaria Regional Folk Music", one of Makhavoe's traditional folk music forms. This was presented under the fictional premise of a live performance by the "Etoria Folk Music Ensemble Czé Lugh-’Eliet". The arrangement was also created by Ms. Shiodome, and the vocals for this version were performed by Ms. Shiodome herself.

This version is characterised by its lively rhythm and "narration" passages. The singing is powerful, carried by the folk music-style sounds of instruments corresponding to flute and violin, interspersed with "narration" passages in modern Fulika. Regarding why Ms. Shiodome performed the vocals herself for this arrangement, she stated: "I was the only one who could pronounce the narration at this speed with any reasonable degree of accuracy."
