Orbita Project
Orbita (Russian: орбита, orbit) is AISU's project addressing the launch of observation satellites and the planning of crewed lunar and Martian exploration missions. Like CosmosΑ, it dates from the Belkosmos era and was developed in parallel with the Korolev Design Bureau.
Background
Satellite observation from orbit plays a vital role across many fields — environmental monitoring, new celestial body discovery, and telecommunications infrastructure. Crewed deep-space exploration represents the long-term goal of human expansion beyond Earth. Orbita was established to tackle both of these fronts within AISU's broader space programme.
Activities
- Research, development, and launch of observation and reconnaissance satellites
- Planning of crewed lunar exploration missions
- Planning of crewed Martian exploration missions
