RISELIS Project
RISELIS is named after a deity of the Erflett world revealed to multiple Institute members. Proposed by Ruslan Chernykh, the project focuses on the development of cognitive and communicative systems derived from synesthetic perception — in particular the Riselis, an octal compressed language conceived through the Meollo hypothesis framework.
Background
Synesthesia is a neurological phenomenon in which stimulation of one sensory pathway leads to automatic experiences in another. Chernykh proposed that the cross-modal structure of synesthetic cognition could serve as a foundation for radically compressed communication systems — the result being the concept of the riselis, an eight-dimensional compressed language. RISELIS Project pursues the theoretical and practical development of this concept.
Activities
- Research and development of Riselis — the octal compressed language derived from the Meollo hypothesis
- Development of other synesthesia-based cognitive tools and interfaces
