The Technology Development Research Division is responsible for all technology development at AISU. It operates in collaboration with the other research divisions, translating their scientific findings into practical designs and implementations. Specifically: in collaboration with the Cosmic Science Division, it develops rockets, probes, satellites, and next-generation observation instruments; in collaboration with the Mystical Science Division, it develops synesthesia-based devices and ability-development equipment.
Principal research fields: aerospace engineering (rockets, satellites, probes), orbital mechanics, spacecraft propulsion, control engineering, ESP ability cultivation technology, and synesthesia-based interface engineering. The division does not conduct primary research in fields outside technology development — such work is delegated to the Cosmic Science and Mystical Science Divisions respectively.
The Technology Development Research Division is the successor in spirit to the early AISU Aerospace Engineering Laboratory.
